Chevy Celebrity Eurosport. Our family neighbor & friend had a silver 1 of these in the 1990s. She replaced it with what replaced the Celebrity: a Lumina sedan. The front-wheel-drive Celebrity family (coupe, sedan, wagon) ran 1982-1990, having replaced the rear-wheel-drive Malibu, not retaining the outgoing model name. Introduced in 1984, the Eurosport trim level (cosmetic & performance package) became popular & ushered in a more special Eurosport VR trim level for 1987 & 1988. For the 1986 model year, the Celebrity not only overtook the Cavalier as the highest-selling car of the brand, but it was the highest-selling car in the United States, the last time (as of 2019) a Chevy or any GM brand has done so. The Celebrity line eventually became the monte carlo (1995) & impala (2000).
