FYI: This theme includes 3 ongoing writings (& 1 completed), but “Face In The Crowd” will continue for the foreseeable future. Unlike “FITC” (which I’m publishing here by further writing & adapting from story arcs & characters a friend & I created over 20 years ago), I don’t have a ‘bible’ per se for my Route-66 based story & “The Newspaper Limo”. Since it has been ~2 years since I’ve added plots to either of those 2, I need to take time to review & refresh my memory of storylines I want to continue-work. Both will see new entries soon.

The woman from the blacksmith shop-warehouse shows up on the front doorstep of the Rockinham mansion. The butler answers the door, & the woman introduces herself as Danyele Johnson, noting that Mr. Rockingham had hired her to take some professional photographs of his Rolls Royce. The butler appears skeptical; Danyele notices & quickly tells him to call Mr. Rockingham if he is not convinced, as she hands him her business card. Knowing Desmond is at the police station & should not be disturbed, he tells Danyele it is OK, ducks inside to grab the car keys & begins to walk her toward the garage. [FYI: my sister, OC,SHer JOYLYN J, came up with the idea that Danyele be a photographer as a front to her “real” business.]
Troc hears a knock. Cautiously, Troc moves to the door & peers through the peep hole, relieved to see a Manchester Phoenix teammate. Troc opens the door, greeting the young man by name (Marco), & gestures for him to come inside. Marco walks in & tells Troc he was wondering if he had plans for the afternoon since the team is not playing today. Troc tells Marco he does & is already late. “Hot date?” Marco quickly & teasingly asks. Troc blurts out “yes”, thinking of Vicky & immediately wondering why he had told Marco that. Marco comments she must be a hot babe; Troc tells Marco she is & suggests Marco get a date tonight, too. Marco just nods & leaves. Troc is glad Marco left, but Marco hesitates wondering if he should go back & ask Troc if he knows anyone who’d be perfect for him. Marco decides not to & leaves.
At the police station, a woman enters, heads right for Steve, who looks up & sighs. He semi-politely greets her, asking what he can do for the District Attorney. She tells Steve she is here to work, as she is well aware of the situation. Steve sarcastically tells her he is glad she knows the situation so she can fill him in. Somewhat taken aback by Steve’s comment, she tells Steve she only meant she knew she might have a case. Steve fires back: “Heather, I mean Ms. Stefanatos, when I have something concrete, I’ll let you know.” Heather says perhaps she better let him do his job & return later. Steve agrees. She turns & walks out of the room, hesitating as it appears she notices someone in the room, but she continues out & leaves.
Meanwhile, Steve turns to the group & motions for Michelle & the boys to come to him. Steve tells them he must question them now. Michelle tells Steve she is ready, but perhaps he should give the boys some time. But, the boys speak up & indicate they want to get it over with. Steve thanks them, has someone usher them to other rooms & promises they will be home soon. As they leave, Timothy turns to Cathy & asks her if she has thought about their talk. Cathy stares at Timothy blankly for a moment, then Timothy mentions the boarding school. Cathy suddenly remembers & tells Timothy she will send them to boarding school so she can go home to see Bette in Nashville, but she must 1st call Virgil & Cheryl Camden to see if Virgil will come to be the interim church pastor for a while.
At the hospital, Mack breaks the silence by asking if Bailey & Camille have chosen any names for their baby. Camille quickly perks up, saying they’ve decided decided on “Kyle” if it is a boy. Camille starts to add something else, but Bailey interrupts, noting it will be a boy … it has to be because they cannot agree on a girl’s name. Camille laughs, saying Bailey cannot be sure it is a boy. Camille turns to Mack, telling him she prefers the name “Nicole”. Bailey grunts & interjects his preference of “Jennifer”.
