FYI: This theme includes 3 ongoing writings (& 1 completed), but “Face In The Crowd” will continue for the foreseeable future. Unlike “FITC” (which I’m publishing here by further writing & adapting from story arcs & characters a friend & I created over 20 years ago), I don’t have a ‘bible’ per se for my Route-66 based story & “The Newspaper Limo”. Since it has been ~2 years since I’ve added plots to either of those 2, I need to take time to review & refresh my memory of storylines I want to continue-work. Both will see new entries soon.

[NEW DAY]

In an abandoned blacksmith shop-warehouse (filled with many “nice” vehicles) in a run-down area of Manchester, a strong, rough, yet “womanly”, woman (about 30ish) yells at her workers about their lack of abilities. She tells them they should have been able to succeed in getting the “goods”.

Pierce & Suzanne lay in bed (lights low, candles flickering & a soft fire crackling in the fireplace) still enjoying their evening together, even as the morning sun rays beam through the window. Suzanne tells Pierce how romantic last night’s love making was & strokes his chest as he murmurs in agreement. Pierce tells Suzanne how wonderful it felt. After a silent moment, Pierce tells Suzanne how much the dinner at Jackie’s Restaurant was a lovely lead-in to the evening’s “main course”. Suzanne sighs in contentment. After a bit, Suzanne asks Pierce if rushing out of Jackie’s like they did made the evening better. Pierce suddenly flashes back to seeing Bailey & Camille enter the restaurant. Snapping back to the present time, Pierce accurately answers Suzanne: “Definitely!”

Desmond, Virginia, Carl, Christine, Amy, Richie, Donnie, Cathy, Erika, Timothy, Adam, Barry, Michelle & Steve are at the police station. Cathy & Erika are sitting with Adam & Barry; Timothy is trying to keep Michelle calm. Christine holds Donnie, while Carl & Amy stand beside her; Richie, Desmond & Virginia are standing closer to Steve, who is trying to sort out all of the details about what happened the previous day & what now has to happen. Steve has insisted that Adam, Barry, Donnie & Michelle (who have all been checked at the hospital & are OK) be questioned now, even though they have just learned for sure that Michael & Matthew are dead.

At the hospital, Vicky has managed to get into Wendleton’s ICU room to see how he is doing. Wendleton is hooked up to many machines. The nurse tells Vicky that Wendleton doesn’t have much time to live.

In another hospital room, Camille is lying in a bed. Earlier, she felt contractions, but was not overly concerned; however, Bailey (the nervous, new father) insisted he drive her to the hospital “just in case”. Now, Camille is glad he insisted because her contractions seem closer together. Becca has been brought into Camille’s room via wheelchair; however, Becca realizes she forgot some medication & wheels herself back to her room to get it.

NEXT TIME:
Parts written during lunch at work, Tuesday, 05/25/1999 (last day of taping for TV’s “Another World”) & Friday, 05/28/1999
