CD SHOWCASE MEMORIES
1 song from the 2nd hour (8p-9p; double plays) of my 04/20/1996 college radio “The Saturday Evening Mostly Country Music Show”: Dan Seals’ “Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold”. This song hit the airwaves 04/05/1986, spent 23 weeks on the country charts & claimed #1. It was the 3rd of an eventual string of 9 straight chart toppers for Seals, beginning with 1985’s “Meet Me In Montana” (duet with Marie Osmond, which helped him & Osmond win the 1986 CMA Vocal Duo Of The Year award) & culminating with 1988-9’s “Big Wheels In The Moonlight”.
