Reluctantly, Erika has come to the TV station to speak to Amy. Amy escorts Erika to an office, closes the door & point blank asks Erika why she told Richie that Amy had something to do with Laura’s disappearance. Rather exhausted by now, Erika simply says she does not know why, but quickly reminds Amy that she (Amy) provided proof that Jake is the father of Erika’s baby, which meant Laura had to be out of the way for them to make a family. Amy tells Erika she never meant for Laura to leave town, nor did she (Amy) suggest Erika & Jake get together to be a “family”. Erika replies that Amy’s actions did not suggest either possibility over the other, so interpretation is debatable. Before Amy says anything, Erika excuses herself, saying she has heard Olivia is out of the coma & wants to go see Tammy. Erika exists, just as Christine enters.
Having stopped at the restaurant, not finding the boys at all, Richie goes to the police station & sees Julia.
Suzanne tells Mack that she (Suzanne) has no idea who he is & he must leave or she will call the police, at which point Mack seems pleased (he knows Steve will back his story). Mack tells Suzanne he has been trying to prove to Jake he (Mack) is Jake’s grandfather by bringing Laura back. Suzanne says that wouldn’t really prove anything, & besides, Jack has left Manchester anyway. Devastated, Mack has difficulty believing Jake has really left, but Suzanne repeats the news as if repeating it is proof. Rather distraught, Mack leaves, telling Suzanne he will find a way to prove to her that he (Mack) is their grandfather & then she will help him find Jake.
Knowing Steve is not at the police station, Timothy stops at the church & finds his Mom (Cathy) in tears. They embrace, & Cathy tells him she does not know if she can take much more of this. Timothy tells Cathy they will find Michelle & the boys safe & sound. They let go of each other, Cathy wipes her tears & tells Timothy about Bette’s eMail & phone call & how Bette wants Cathy to go to Nashville for a visit. Timothy says that is a good idea, but Cathy reminds Timothy that, even when the boys are found, they will need her, especially since they are unaware of Michael’s death. Timothy suggests boarding school, which Cathy initially dislikes, but then thinks perhaps they will need some time away anyhow. Cathy tells Timothy she will give the idea some thought.
Wendleton wheels the van into the Chateau Louise parking lot, quickly notes 2 cars are in the drive & strategically pulls the van around to the back, out of sight. Desmond pulls in a little while later & immediately spots Virginia’s Cadillac convertible. Desmond realizes the potential gravity of the situation & mutters “oh no” to himself. Virginia happens to peer out a window & spots her husband’s Mercedes. Virginia begins to panic.
