You can once again hear me on the radio! The pilot episode of my re-booted show, “CD Showcase”, hits the airwaves TODAY, Wednesday, 05/15/2019, 4p-4:30p US central, with a re-broadcast Friday, 05/17/2019, 11:30a-noon US central. So far, I’ve recorded 5 additional episodes (3 on 04/24/2019 & 2 on 05/14/2019), which will air Wednesdays & Fridays in succeeding weeks; I’ll get back into the studio to record more shows soon. All shows will also be available online & via on-demand podcast so you can listen whenever, however & wherever you want.

If the show sparks enough interest, it is possible to expand to an hour &, perhaps, a live, interactive broadcast (like I did on Elgin IL’s WRMN 1410 AM & my college radio station).

I mentioned in the “Coming Soon” website entry (via THIS LINK HERE) I’ve been wanting to get back on the air since my last broadcast (Christmas Eve 2011) because “even if the whole world has forgotten, a song remembers when”. So, you might say this is a dream come true. The 1st 4 shows are all older country music, but I was given the go-ahead to return to what makes my show unique: mixing music genres. So, starting with the 5th episode (recorded 05/14/2019; to air in June), all shows feature at least 1 non-country song.

Like road trips, music is important in my life in many ways & for multiple reasons. This world has so many artists & songs to tell tales & be the soundtrack of our lives, & I have struggled with deciding what artists to play on which show & even which song of each artist to spin to get a good mix (better than what most radio stations offer today). In each of the 1st 6 recorded episodes, I have played ~7 songs from different artists. Extrapolating, I have enough CDs for 15-20 more shows without repeating an artist. Then, I can go back & play different songs from those artists. So, I hope you enjoy my show & the tunes I feature spark memories for you, even if the whole world has forgotten.
