During this extended Mid-Hiatus, the “Daily Vehicle Choice” daily theme (see all of them via THIS LINK HERE) has appeared twice, 06/06/2018 (asking about 8 movie or TV vehicles you’d want to see on an 18-wheeler, seen via THIS LINK HERE) & 07/16/2018 (highlighting a car featured in an “Unsolved Mysteries” episode, seen via THIS LINK HERE), so it is time the “At The Heart” daily theme (normally 5a US central; see all of them via THIS LINK HERE) gets a turn! Previously, this theme had featured the United States National Days with a Leadoff Drive feature vehicle. This St Patrick’s Day ‘special edition’ only has the regular Leadoff Drive; when the full-regular OC,SH schedule returns, something I call “Coffee Cocktail” will replace the National Days listings.
BTW: if you missed it, see the most-recent “Vying Time” OC,SH entry (with a CD Consulting Services|original collage & more of my thoughts in writing) via THIS LINK HERE.
Leadoff Drive: Green Vehicles
This OC,SH original collage features the 1st car I ever bought: a light green (multiple shades of green interior) 1979 Monte Carlo L. I bought it October 1992 & had to sell it October 2013. It sparked my former “car family”, of which the last remaining member I own now is the car I bought from my parents, December 1999, the 1981 MC SC (pics of which can be seen in the “Vehicles, CHDs & Me” page via THIS LINK HERE). So, in honor of St Patrick’s Day, what green-colored vehicle(s) do you own or have owned?
Cort, first car I owned was a pale green 64 Buick Wildcat. Also had a forest green 73 New Yorker and a bright green (with black and white interior) 73 Electra 225. Of course, you recall looking at my two tone green 79 Caprice about a dozen years back. That bright green velour interior just made me happy!
Oh my gosh, Doug! I had forgotten about that 2-tone green 1979 CC sedan of yours! The lighter green on it (as well as the interior green) was the same as the ’79 MC I had at that time (pictured in this post). That would’ve been an interesting combo. 😉
