OC,SH ALERT:
Last week, we reached post # 200 of the daily “At The Heart” & “Daily Vehicle Choice” themes. This week marks post # 30 of the weekly themes. Check out all 30 “Thursday Throwback” entries via THIS LINK HERE.

I started coloring this 1957 Lincoln Continental Mark II, in my adult classic car book, before Memorial Day Weekend 2017. Then, that weekend, I completed it, with help (color choice for the car itself) of Niece Jennalyn.

If you can’t read the blurb at the bottom of the image: “Ford introduced the concept of the “Personal Luxury Car” with the Continental Mark II from the Lincoln division. Although a 4-seater, this automobile was designed for maximum luxury & performance for 2 front-seat passengers. The ’57 Continental depicted featured “slab-sided” styling (later incorporated into the famous Lincoln Continental 4-door sedans of the 1960s). Outfitted with every luxury option available at the time, & powered by a big 368 cubic-inch V-8 generating 285 hp, the Continental was the top of the line for prestige automobiles. The “Personal Luxury Car” concept generated other famous luxury vehicles from GM & Ford, such as the Buick Riviera, Oldsmobile Toronado & Ford’s own Thunderbird.”
