What catches your spying-eye radar!?

“Doogie Howser, MD” is a situation comedy-drama that originally aired on ABC, 09/19/1989 (my birth date!) – 03/24/1993, encompassing 97 episodes over 4 seasons. Created by TV gurus Steven Bochco & David E Kelley, this series centered around a teenage physician balancing the challenges of medicine & the everyday problems of teenagers. The show ended abruptly when ABC canceled it due to low ratings; Bochco had hoped to end the series with a season-long story arc where the main character becomes disenchanted by medicine & becomes a writer, but was forced to only feature the main character resigning & going to Europe. The cast includes Neil Patrick Harris (title role, which Harris has satirized in appearances over the years), Max Casella, James B Sikking, Belinda Montgomery, Lisa Dean Ryan, Lucy Boryer, Lawrence Pressman, Mitchell Anderson, Kathryn Layng & Markus Redmond. Recurring cast members include Rif Hutton, Robyn Lively & Barry Livingston.
