“You’re Not Alone”
Amy Grant
[For more info about AG’s hits & history, check out the 08/03/2015 “CD Showcase Memories” entry via THIS LINK HERE & the 04/06/2016 “Wednesday Wrap” entry via THIS LINK HERE.] I’ve mentioned before: 1 of my favorite things to do on my radio shows was play songs not released so others could enjoy them. This is 1 of those tunes; the bonus for me is that it helped me through a few different experiences in my life through the years, including several while I was in college. This upbeat & fast-paced tune, an excellent reminder of the support we all have, is on her ‘Heart In Motion’ album (I have on CD), which includes the mega hit “Baby Baby” along with “I Will Remember You”.

“The Motown Song”
Rod Stewart
[For more info about RS’ hits & history, check out the 06/18/2016 “CarTunes Saturday” entry via THIS LINK HERE.] Full disclosure: this has never been 1 of my favorite tunes of his, but I’m not even sure why; it is, after all, about old music & features a great group in The Temptations. But, sometimes that sorta thing happens. Released from his 1991 album ‘Vagabond Heart’, this single peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, 09/21/1991; it also reached #3 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song was written by Larry John McNally, who originally recorded it for the soundtrack of the 1986 movie ‘Quicksilver’. The music video (see below) was put together by Animation City (a London, England, company, which also put together videos for Madonna & Elton John); among artists featured, The Supremes & Michael Jackson.
