‘How To Murder Your Wife’ is a battle-of-the-sexes satirical comedy that hit the theaters 09/20/1965, 2 days after “I Dream Of Jeannie”, featured in this week’s “TV Tuesday”, seen via THIS LINK HERE. Written & produced by George Axelrod, this motion picture was directed by Richard Quine. Mel Keefer is credited with doing the comic strip featured in the film; Keefer drew newspaper comic strips such as “Perry Mason”, “Mac Divot” & “Rick O’Shay”. However, the teaser strip that promoted the film was done by Alex Toth in Keefer’s style. Also of note: this movie was referenced in a “Fawlty Towers” episode (“The Wedding Party”), in which Basil claims to have seen the movie 6 times. The movie cast includes Jack Lemmon, Virna Lisi, Terry-Thomas, Eddie Mayehoff, Claire Trevor, Mary Wickes, Jack Albertson, Sidney Blackmer, Max Showalter, Alan Hewitt, Barry Kelley, William Bryant, Charles Bateman, Edward Faulkner & Lauren Gilbert.
