This record (which I own on vinyl) features 10 tunes. Side A has 1989âs title track (#5), 1988âs âMoneyâ (#13), unreleased âRound The Clock Lovinââ (written by Oslin & Rory Michael Bourke, released as a single by Gail Davies in 1982 & peaked at #9), unreleased âWhere Is A Woman To Goâ & 1988-9âs âHold Meâ (#1; Song Of The Year & Female Vocal Grammys). Side B features 1989âs âHey Bobbyâ (#2), unreleased âShe Donât Talk Like Us No Moreâ, unreleased âJealousâ, 1989âs âDidnât Expect It To Go Down This Wayâ (#23; a concept to which I can certainly relate) & unreleased âTruly Blueâ.
FEATURE SONG # 1:
âThis Womanâ
The albumâs title track was technically the 4th single released. Debuting 06/10/1989, this song spent 18 weeks on the country charts & peaked at #5. Back in the day (& to some extent still today), I was known to change the wording of songs to better fit my mood or situations. This is 1 of those songs. The upbeat & catchy nature of the tune lent itself well to becoming a favorite of mine.

FEATURE SONG #2
âHey Bobbyâ
Released directly ahead of the title track (& right after the smash hit âHold Meâ), this song hit the airwaves 02/11/1989, spent 19 weeks on the country charts & peaked at #2. While I canât identify with the song 100%, the idea of a drive-in-the-â1st-carâ euphoria surely grabbed my attention. I remember daydreaming about how it might be when I finally bought my 1st carâŠ.
FEATURE SONG #3
âTruly Blueâ
When I bought vinyl records some 30 years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to each entire record & choosing songs I THINK shouldâve been released as singles. This is 1 of those tunes, due to the upbeat nature & slightly ironic plot of the lyrics, which also made it 1 of my favorite songs on this album. Take a listen:
