What catches your spying-eye radar!?

‘Friday Night Lights’ (a movie I really want to see) debuted in theaters 10/08/2004. Based on HG Bissinger’s 1990 book “Friday Night Lights: A Town, A Team & A Dream” which followed the story of the 1988 Permian (Odessa TX) High School Panthers football team, the movie was directed by Peter Berg, who co-wrote the screenplay with David Aaron Cohen. Many differences between the movie, the book & reality are documented. For instance, the movie depicts the home town as a small “1-horse” west TX town (the downtown shown in the movie trailer is that of Manhattan KS), while Odessa had over 100,000 citizens at the time of the events portrayed. The cast includes: Billy Bob Thornton, Lucas Black, Garrett Hedlund, Derek Luke, Jay Hernandez, Lee Jackson III, Lee Thompson Young, Tm McGraw, Grover Coulson, Connie Britton (who had the same role, coach’s wife, in the TV series that followed), Julius Tennon, Connie Cooper, Amber Heard, Kasey Stevens, Rutherford Cravens, Stephen Bishop, Katherine Willis, Christian Kane & Brad Leland (who also portrayed the same character, the team booster, in the TV series).
