Michelle tells Troc she is simply out for a walk & wandered into a bad area of the university without realizing where she was going. Troc seems to accept this response & says he will see her later. Relieved, Michelle says goodbye & leaves. To himself, Troc sighs about how much he has missed Michelle. He flashes back once again to the garbage can falling over, & (back in the present) says to himself he has missed Michelle so much but cannot exactly trust her … yet.

Somewhat shocked at Mack’s question, Steve asks why he wants to know. Mack explains he wants to bring Laura back for Jake (though he doesn’t reveal why) & had thought Carl was going to help him, but Carl said he never offered. So, Mack tells Steve, Mack simply wants some guidance so he can research on his own. Steve tells Mack he will help as he can. They arrive at a doctor’s office area within the hospital; a doctor advises both Mack & Jackie will be told they will be released in a few days.

In memory of & in respect to the missing boys & Michelle (who is missing & is affected by both deaths, tho she is unaware of them) the Rockinghams & Croswells opt to hold a joint memorial service tomorrow. They plan the service without the bodies there to symbolize the fact that the boys & Michelle are unable to attend to say goodbye. Cathy asks the pastor of a sister church to officiate.
