Do you remember this series!?
What catches your spying-eye radar!?

‘The Bloodhound Gang’ was a series of segments within PBS’ “3-2-1 Contact”, a favorite show of my childhood. I always loved hearing the theme (see & listen to it via THIS LINK HERE)
“Whenever there’s trouble, we’re there on the double, we’re the Bloodhound Gang; if you’ve got the crime, we’ve got the time, we’re the Bloodhound Gang”. The vignettes (written by Sid Fleischman), as I recall, were aired near or at the end of each episode, & followed 3 young people who solved crimes, mostly due to their knowledge of science. The head of the detective agency, James Bloodhound, was usually absent from his office, so the youngsters would take on cases they could solve. Most cases stretched across an entire week. The cast includes Nan-Lynn Nelson, Marcelino Sanchez, Kelly Pease, Glenn Scarpelli & Seth Greenspan. During the 6th season of “3-2-1- C”, the segments were discontinued after Sanchez’s death in 1986. “3-2-1 C” (the brainchild of Samuel Y Gibbon Jr, executive producer, “The Electric Company”, 1971-1977) aired on PBS, 1980 & 1983-1988, with the debut episode 01/14/1980 & the final episode 11/18/1988; Dr Edward G Atkins provided much of the show’s scientific info. The 2-year hiatus was forced because funding was not sufficient.
