“1st Time For Everything”
Little Texas
[For more info about LT’s hits & history, check out the 02/20/2016 “CarTunes Saturday” entry via THIS LINK HERE.] This was the 1st song I played (by request of a regular listener) after the aforementioned basketball game that pre-empted most of my show, featuring Manchester’s 1st ever loss in the ICAC Tournament, 70-60. The prior season, the Spartans, under the coaching skills of Indiana favorite Steve Alford, had excelled to the NCAA Division III Championship game with a 31-0 record … & lost, to finish the season 31-1. As for this tune, it debuted 02/08/1992, spent 20 weeks on the country charts & peaked at #13. It was the follow-up to the band’s debut 1991 release, “Some Guys Have All The Love”, which had notched at #8. Their next release, 1992’s “You & Forever & Me”, reached #5, while 1992-3’s “What Were You Thinking” (a favorite of mine) stalled at #17.

“What Might’ve Been”
Little Texas
As you might guess, this was the 2nd song I played (again, at the request of a regular listener) after coming back on the air following the basketball game. This song hit the airwaves 05/29/1993, spent 20 weeks on the country charts & reached #2 (should’ve claimed #1). Over the years, this song has had some very personal meanings for me … particularly the last few years. I think it is a song we all can identify with in some way at some point in life. I really like the video….
