[Nearly a month past between writing days (Thursday, 11/12/1998, & Thursday, 12/10/1998) due to Thanksgiving & other plans, including mailing the prior few days of writing to several people who were following the story lines as I wrote them. So, instead of picking up exactly where the story was, I opted to skip to start a brand new “day”.]

After getting up early to begin the daunting task of working 3 cases at the same time (collision Michelle caused; missing boys; Michael-Matthew fatal collision), Steve arrives at the station & briefly visits with Alicia, who has not slept all night in her cell. Steve inquires about her visit with Jackie the prior afternoon. Alicia indicates it went fine, deliberately leaving out Tammy’s visit. Alicia asks Steve if Jackie knows yet about the fatal collision. Steve says she does not; Alicia tells Steve he must tell her (Jackie) soon.

Desmond, Virginia, Carl, Christine, Amy, Richie & Julia are at the Rockingham mansion, mourning Matthew’s death. Christine is consoling Carl; Julia has stopped to see Richie, who accepts Julia’s condolences. Virginia asks Desmond, yet again, about what he had said to Wendleton the other night. Not wanting Virginia to be upset more, Desmond tells Virginia his behavior towards Wendleton was just nerves & stress following the news about Matthew; he does not blame Wendleton for Matthew’s death, nor does he blame Wendleton for the boys missing (both untruths). Amy wanders around the house feeling lost. She calls Jake & talks to him a little bit. Then, she calls the TV station to inquire about any updates regarding the missing boys.

In an alley behind the University, Wendleton meets with his hired help. Michelle happens upon the 2 & quickly darts from eyesight. She overhears Wendleton’s hired help tell Wendleton the boys are safe in the hideaway. Wendleton calls his help by name (Troc), & Michelle is stunned to hear the name.

Cathy, Erika & Timothy are at the church. Cathy & Erika are in the sanctuary, praying, crying & reminiscing about Michael. Timothy is in the church office talking on the phone with various people sending their condolences & inquiring about funeral arrangements. He also continues the hunt for Michelle & the boys.

Tammy is at Olivia’s bedside, hoping for a miracle. She is shocked by Matthew’s death; she cries.

Jackie become somewhat impatient because nobody has been up to see her yet, especially Julia. She cautiously ventures out of her room. She runs into Mack & quickly notices something is bothering him. She asks what is wrong, & Mack tells her about the fatal collision. Jackie becomes unsettled & asks Mack how he found out about the accident. Mack explains: Carl was in his room when he received the page. Jackie faints, & Mack reaches out to keep her from falling.
