For more about this bandâs hits & history check the 07/31/2015 âCD Showcase Memoriesâ entry via THIS LINK HERE, the 11/04/2015 âWednesday Wrapâ entry via THIS LINK HEREÂ & the 02/17/2016 âWednesday Wrapâ entry via THIS LINK HERE. This record (which I own on vinyl) features 10 great tunes, including (following the 2 feature songs mentioned & noted below) on Side 1: 1984âs âI Donât Want To Be A Memoryâ (#1), 1984âs âGive Me 1 More Chanceâ (#1), 1985âs âSheâs A Miracleâ (#1) & 1985âs âHang On To Your Heartâ (#1). Then, on Side 2: â1985-6âs âI Could Get Used To Youâ (#1), 1984-5âs âCrazy For Your Loveâ (#1), 1986âs âSuper Loveâ (#14) & a re-recording of their pop hit, âKiss You All Overâ.
FEATURE SONG #1:
âWoke Up In Loveâ
Know how some songs will remind you of other tunes? Well, this tune has always reminded me of the theme to âMamaâs Familyâ! The bandâs 2nd release after 1983âs âHigh Cost Of Leavingâ (#27), this single debuted 12/03/1983, spent 22 weeks on the country charts &, in early 1984, became the bandâs 1st Top 10 & 1st chart topper, sparking a string of 4 straight #1 tunes.
FEATURE SONG #2:
âThe Girl Canât Help Itâ
Unlike today, not too many GH albums of the 1970s & 1980s featured previously unreleased material. This was an exception; I played this entire record âso muchâ when I was younger, I can almost remember hearing the song on the radioâŠ. Iâm not sure why it was never released as a single, even from the GH album.
