For more about TDRB’s hits & history check the 01/30/2016 “CarTunes Saturday” entry via THIS LINK HERE & last week’s “Turntable Tuesday” via THIS LINK HERE. Originally released 09/06/1988, this record (which I own on vinyl), features the band’s 2nd chart topper.

FEATURE SONG #1:
“I Still Believe In You Now”
The 2nd release from this album, this song became the band’s 5th Top 10 tune & 2nd (& last) chart topper. It hit the airwaves 11/26/1988, spent 20 weeks on the country charts & claimed #1 in early 1989. The prior release was 1988’s “Summer Wind” (#2); 2 more tunes were released from the album: 1989’s “She Don’t Love Nobody” (#3, 2 weeks) & 1989’s “Hello Trouble” (#11). All 4 releases are on the album’s Side 1, with an additional tune, the album’s title track. Of 8 more releases from different albums, the band notched only 2 more Top 10s: 1989-90’s “Start All Over Again” (#6) & 1990’s “Story Of Love” (#10).

FEATURE SONG #2:
“Our Songs”
The 5th song on Side 2, this is 1 I’m not quite sure why it wasn’t released, considering other similar tunes of the day-timeframe from the likes of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. My favorite song on Side 2, this is a rather poignant nostalgic look at songs. The rest of the tunes on Side 2: “For The Rich Man”, “Step on Out”, “Homeless” & “Livin’ In The House”.
