For more about TDRBâs hits & history check the 01/30/2016 âCarTunes Saturdayâ entry via THIS LINK HERE. Originally released in 1987, this record (which I own on vinyl), features the bandâs 1st chart topper.
FEATURE SONG #1:
âHeâs Back & Iâm Blueâ
The 4th & final release from this album, this song became the bandâs 3rd Top 10 tune & 1st chart topper. It hit the airwaves 03/26/1988 & spent 19 weeks on the country charts. The prior 3 releases were 1987âs âAshes Of Loveâ (#26), 1987âs âLove Reunitedâ (#6) & 1987-8âs â1 Step Forwardâ (#2; my favorite from the album). Of those releases, the 2 Top 5 tunes are on Side 1, with âAshes Of Loveâ the lead song on Side 2. The other 2 songs on Side 1 are âLeave This Townâ & âTime Betweenâ (a remake of Chis Hillmanâs song he recorded as a member of the Byrds).
FEATURE SONG #2:
â1 That Got Awayâ
This song was not released as a single, but it is 1 of my favorites from the album itself, tho I donât remember what drew me to it when I was younger. Now, it serves to remind me of those whoâve âgotten awayââŠ. The other songs on Side 2 include the aforementioned âAshes Of Loveâ, along with âOnce Moreâ, âGlass Heartsâ & âHard Timesâ
