ARTIST:

For more about TDRB’s hits & history check the 01/30/2016 “CarTunes Saturday” entry via THIS LINK HERE. Originally released in 1987, this record (which I own on vinyl), features the band’s 1st chart topper.

FEATURE SONG #1:
“He’s Back & I’m Blue”
The 4th & final release from this album, this song became the band’s 3rd Top 10 tune & 1st chart topper. It hit the airwaves 03/26/1988 & spent 19 weeks on the country charts. The prior 3 releases were 1987’s “Ashes Of Love” (#26), 1987’s “Love Reunited” (#6) & 1987-8’s “1 Step Forward” (#2; my favorite from the album). Of those releases, the 2 Top 5 tunes are on Side 1, with “Ashes Of Love” the lead song on Side 2. The other 2 songs on Side 1 are “Leave This Town” & “Time Between” (a remake of Chis Hillman’s song he recorded as a member of the Byrds).

FEATURE SONG #2:
“1 That Got Away”
This song was not released as a single, but it is 1 of my favorites from the album itself, tho I don’t remember what drew me to it when I was younger. Now, it serves to remind me of those who’ve “gotten away”
. The other songs on Side 2 include the aforementioned “Ashes Of Love”, along with “Once More”, “Glass Hearts” & “Hard Times”
