Lonestar
This song debuted 09/18/1999 (the day before my birthday), spent 31 weeks on the country charts & claimed #1 in early 2000. It crossed over & reached #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Despite it claiming #1, it is a mostly-forgotten song, if only because it was the follow-up to this group’s mega-hit, 1999’s “Amazed”, which claimed #1 for 8 weeks on the country charts & 2 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. 10 years after Lonestar’s tune, this song was released 07/13/2009 from his 2009 album ‘Happy Hour’. Between 2009 & 2010, this single peaked at #3 on the Adult Contemporary, #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 & #6 on the Hot Country Songs charts, while also reaching #3 in Australia. Sheryl Crow sings backing vocals.
