What catches your spying-eye radar!?

‘What’s Up, Doc?’ debuted in theaters 03/10/1972 & became a huge success at the box office, grossing the 3rd highest amount of money that year.  Written by Buck Henry, David Newman & Robert Benton, the movie (considered a “screwball comedy”) was directed by Peter Bogdanovich.  Set in San Francisco, scenes were filmed at San Francisco International Airport, Paramus NJ & Westwood, Los Angeles CA.  San Francisco was chosen to allow an elaborate comic spoof of the car chase in 1968’s ‘Bullitt’.  Other movie references include 1970’s ‘Love Story’ & 1969’s ‘Hello, Dolly!’.  The cast includes Barbra Streisand, Ryan O’Neal, Madeline Kahn, Kenneth Mars, Austin Pendleton, Michael Murphy, Philip Roth, Sorrell Booke, Stefan Gierasch, Mabel Albertson, Liam Dunn, John Hillerman, George Morfogen, Graham Jarvis, Randy Quaid & M Emmet Walsh.
