FACE IN THE CROWD
created spring 1995 in college by Erika E & OC,SH’s founder Cort; further written by Cort & now adapted to publish here
NOW:
After a break in March 1998 when I prepped the earlier additions to be printed & mailed, & also started formulating additional plots (including a car accident, which I wrote mid-May 1998), I picked up full writing again with 3 blocks of writing during lunch at work: Monday, 04/06/1998; Friday, 04/24/1998; & Wednesday, 04/29/1998.
Desmond quickly recovers from his brief feeling that Virginia is dead. This initially relaxes Desmond, but he soon begins to think about the missing boys. Desmond becomes tired & falls asleep, only to dream about Wendleton gaining complete control of the Rockingham family.
The search begins for the boys. Erika goes to Boulevard Park, Matthew goes to the TV station, Michelle goes to the University, Amy goes to the local movie theater, Christine & Cathy go to Hope Church Of The Brethren, Carl goes to Pacemaker Memorial Hospital, & Michael goes to the baseball stadium, Mercury-Plymouth Field.
Alicia is tormented & complains to a guard, sparking an investigation….
Wendleton talks on the phone with his hired help (Wendleton is seen, the hired help is not pictured). In conversation, baseball is mentioned … hired help says he’s got to go to the stadium since he can’t follow Amy while she’s searching for the boys.
While Carl is busy hunting for the boys, Mack decides to begin to locate Laura. He already knows she left town mysteriously, but he has an idea she is alive & well. Fueling that is his hunch that someone knows something; he makes a list of people he knows who may not have liked Laura … including Erika & Amy.
NEXT TIME:
Parts written during lunch at work, Monday, 05/04/1998; Monday, 05/11/1998 & Tuesday, 05/12/1998 … ahead of a long entry for the car accident (to publicize in 2 weeks!).
