#1
“Fancy Free”
Oak Ridge Boys
If you’d like to know more about this group, please check THIS entry HERE in which I mentioned some of their history & info. As for this particular song, it debuted 09/05/1981, spent 15 weeks on the charts & claimed #1. It was sandwiched between 2 other chart toppers: 1981’s “Elvira” (Country Vocal Group Grammy & CMA Single Of The Year) & 1982’s “Bobbie Sue”.

#2
“Gonna Take A Lot Of River”
Oak Ridge Boys
Take a look at the vintage & decidedly 1980s stuff in this video! This single hit the airwaves 07/30/1988, spent 21 weeks on the charts & claimed #1. It was a 2nd straight Top 10 tune (behind 1988’s “True Heart”, #5) of a streak that stretched to 6 & ended with the band’s last chart topper, 1989-90’s “No Matter How High”.

#3
“Let Me Tell You About Love”
The Judds
A bit of this duo’s history was mentioned in this entry via LINK HERE, so please check it out if you’d like to know more. Meantime, this particular song 1st graced the charts 07/08/1989, spent 21 weeks up & down, claiming #1 along the way. At the time, it was the 3rd of 3 straight chart toppers (including 1988-89’s “Change Of Heart” & 1989’s “Young Love”) & proved to be their last #1 tune, though they notched 4 more Top 10s, 1 of those being the popular 1990-1 hit “Love Can Build A Bridge” (Country Song & Country Vocal Duo Grammys).
