At the school’s principal’s office, Carl threatens to harshly discipline Donnie for his part in the prank he & Adam-Barry did at school. Michael, already unnerved that Carl was called [Donnie is in Desmond & Virginia’s custody, but is temporarily living with Michael & Cathy while Virginia is in the hospital], makes it quite clear: Carl will not (& has no right) to discipline Donnie. The school’s principal tires to calm them down, but the efforts do not help; Carl becomes furious with Michael for reminding him of the “legalities”. Meanwhile, the boys sit patiently waiting their chance to “escape”….
Unaware Carl has decided to investigate his story, Mack is determined to provide Jake proof he (Mack) is who he says he is (Jake’s grandfather). However, Mack is not sure how to do that….
Virginia’s condition worsens. Desmond is very upset & begins to have nightmares about how Virginia’s death might affect him & the rest of the family.
Slightly ignoring Erika’s assertions about Julia, Jake immediately asks her (Erika) how she is doing (he thinks she is still pregnant). Erika again breaks her promise to Pastor Cathy (significant since Erika gets along better with Cathy than her own mother, Jackie) & reassures Jake she is fine. Disgusted, Julia leaves. Erika pounces on the new-found opportunity to talk Jake back into believing Julia had something to do with Laura’s disappearance. Still, Jake doesn’t quite believe; inside, he knows something else is going on….
Before announcing her arrival, Christine overhears Michelle “telling” Tammy to back off Matthew. Tammy tells Michelle she (Michelle) should start acting like she really wants Matthew if she’s going to be such a bitch about with whom he spends time. Christine enters the room & tells Tammy to back off … she (Tammy) should give Michelle & Matthew space to work out their problems-differences without such a distraction. Tammy begins to yell back at Christine, but thinks better of it. Michelle & Christine exchange pleasantries, & Michelle leaves, glaring at Tammy on the way out. Alone, Christine asks Tammy about what Olivia has for her. Tammy says she still doesn’t know, but Christine thinks Tammy is lying to “save” whatever Olivia has. Christine leaves in disgust.
Though a little hesitant, Christine decides to confront Olivia directly. Unaware that Tammy & Christine are sisters, Olivia tells Christine to mind her own business. This increases Christine’s curiosity & anger; Christine vows to somehow find out what Olivia has for Tammy.
While Carl, Michael & the principal are talking, Donnie, Adam & Barry sneak out of the office. It takes the 3 adults several minutes to notice the boys are gone. When they do, Carl & Michael naturally blame each other, but the Principal reminds them the important part right now is to find the boys & make sure they are safe. Michael calls Cathy & Erika, while the Principal calls Christine & Amy.
Steve goes to see Alicia & tells her they are working to get her out of jail early. She thanks him profusely.
Amy, thinking she can corner the stalker guy herself, “allows” him to easily follow her & then takes an “opportune” moment to turn on him & confront him.
Meanwhile, “all knowing” Wendleton sends an anonymous note to Mack offering help in proving he (Mack) is Jake’s grandfather. Believing Mack will think the note is from Carl, Wendleton makes sure his people follow Mack & obtain as much additional info about the Rockingham family as possible.
