NOW:
Continuing the post-college storyline, parts written during lunch break at work, Tuesday, 02/11/1997, & Wednesday, 02/12/1997.

Alone with no projects, Timothy decides to buy the newspaper & is immediately confronted with having to report on his father’s (Michael) takeover attempt & his twin sister’s (Michelle) bombing accident.

Richie puts his heart & soul into proving Julia’s innocence in Laura’s disappearance, so much so he is oblivious to all that is happening, including his mother’s (Virginia) heart attack, which shocks him.

Adam & Barry provide stability in Donnie’s life during troubling times.

In his takeover investigation for the newspaper, Timothy helps the cases of his father (Michael) & Jake when he uncovers Wendleton might have returned to Manchester. Going through old documents, Timothy finds out the following about the past between Desmond & Wendleton…. Wendleton took the Manchester Phoenix to the league championship the year before Desmond bought the franchise. Desmond agreed to buy the team only after Wendleton begged him to so he (Wendleton) could move to Japan. Desmond then accused Wendleton of destroying the team’s repeat-championship potential (& potential of ever winning another championship) by “cutting costs” (i.e. trading players) & making sly-underhanded deals with other teams. Desmond never found the papers of proof, but vowed revenge on Wendleton. That “vow” angered Wendleton because he felt his reputation had been damaged (never mind, of course, the deals he made). But, his reputation clearly wasn’t damaged in Japan, where he became a successful businessman & baseball team owner there. So, now, naturally, Wendleton is set on revenge against Desmond, no matter what.

Wendleton hires a hit man to stalk Desmond & his family, but with Virginia in the hospital, the guy focuses his unwanted attention on Amy.

Olivia & Tammy “meet” at Boulevard Park. As they pass each other, Tammy thinks she recognizes Olivia, but can’t believe it would actually be here. Olivia, on the other hand, doesn’t even remotely recognize Tammy. Then, they meet again at Hope Church Of The Brethren. This time, Pastor Cathy introduces them & they instantly make the connection. Christine, however, happens to catch the introduction at the church from a slight distance, & overhears Olivia tell Tammy she has something for her of her mother’s. Jackie also happens to be there & takes it upon herself to confront Christine with the irony of the situation. Steve, however, interrupts them before sparks really fly.

At the hospital to find out Erika’s condition-health, Jake runs into Mack, who (from pictures he has of Jake) instantly recognizes Jake & tells him who he (Mack) is. Jake brushes of Mack’s comments as an old man’s ramblings. Mack then tries to explain to Carl what is happening.

Matthew tries to convince Michelle he still loves her, but Michelle says it is too late, but doesn’t explain why (she saw him with Tammy).

Richie becomes torn between supporting his mother & Julia, but chooses Julia, hurting-frustrating-angering Desmond.

Donnie, Adam & Barry get in trouble at school for some small shenanigans, the brainchild of Donnie. Carl & Michael take the initial calls from the school to help handle-resolve the situation-issues.

Erika discovers she may not be pregnant after all….
