Do you remember this series!?
What catches your spying-eye radar!?
“Nash Bridges” is a police drama created by Carlton Cuse that originally aired 03/29/1996 to 05/04/2001 on CBS. Produced & filmed on location in the San Francisco CA Bay Area, the show showcased The Embarcadero & Piers 30-32. Treasure Island was the show’s headquarters & Hanger 2 there housed permanent sets like Nash’s apartment. Despite good ratings, CBS opted to cancel the show after 6 seasons because Paramount was unwilling to continue paying the high production costs. The unforgettable “star car” was Nash’s 1971 Plymouth Barracuda convertible in “curious yellow”. Except, they weren’t: screen tests proved the factory color didn’t work well on camera, so all 6 different cars were painted an off-the-shelf color from Sherwin-Williams. 5 of the 6 cars built to resemble the 1971 Plymouth were built between 1970 & 1971. 1 of the 6 cars was actually a 1973 coupe converted to a 1971 convertible. None of the cars had Hemi engines, instead sporting the 318-440 engines. 4 of the cars had automatic transmissions, while 2 were 440 4-speeds. Series main cast: Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, James Gammon, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Jeff Perry (who drove a 1972 Ford Ranchero), Jaime P Gomez, Annette O’Toole, Serena Scott Thomas, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Mary Mara, Kelly Hu, Yasmine Bleeth, Wendy Moniz & Cress Williams. Series recurring cast: Caroline Lagerfelt, Daniel Roebuck, Tracey Walter (as “Angel”), Christian J Meoli, Ronald Russell II, Angela Dorhmann, Stephen Lee, Patrick Fischler, Donna W Scott, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Allie Ward & Suki Kaiser. Guest stars included (not limited to) RuPaul, Lucy Liu, Philip Michael Thomas, Tommy Chong, Paula Marshall, Karl Malone, Barry Watson, Kathy Lee Gifford, Jo Dee Messina, Geraldo Rivera, Bill Rafferty, Kevin Dobson, Barbara Stuart, Christopher Rich, Eric Allan Kramer, Chi McBride, Barry Bonds, Glenn Frey, Willie Nelson, Penny Marshall & Sammy Hagar.
