LAST TIME:
1st part of my post college writings, from a letter to Erika, Thursday, 06/20/1996

NOW:
Continuing the post-college storyline, parts written during lunch break at work. Nearly 8 months passed between my letter to Erika & the next time I wrote a progression of the story lines, so the 1st few entries are a bit choppy…. I’m guessing summer plans, along with the job hunt, starting a temporary job, then getting hired at that company, all had something to do with that delay in writing. Just over a month into my new employment, I found myself wondering what to do during my seemingly-long lunches. I spent those “extra minutes” either reading or writing. I penciled story lines during lunch Friday, 02/07/1997, & again Monday, 02/10/1997.

Olivia Thompson [character sketch coming soon], 1 of Tammy’s foster mothers, comes to Manchester seeking Tammy to give Tammy something of her Mom’s. This eventually will cause problems between Tammy & Christine.

Since seducing Carl didn’t work in winning Steve back, Jackie decides to bring Christine down, though she doesn’t know how … until, of course, she learns why Olivia is in town.

Tammy abruptly cuts off her relationship with Timothy.

Amy provides “proof” that Jake is the father of Erika’s baby. This upsets Laura very much; she vanishes without a trace. With Laura gone, Jake “surrenders” & offers to marry Erika for the baby’s sake. But, Erika tells Jake to get lost. But, Jake won’t because of “his” child.

Thinking everything is now OK, Julia & Richie celebrate their return to each other. But, a creative story from Erika (who paid Laura to leave town) finds Julia at the center of the investigation into Laura’s disappearance.

While Michael & Jake fight over who started what in the takeover attempt, Desmond safely guides the baseball team through the turmoil.

Mr (Mack) Zobrinski [character sketch coming soon; mentioned in a written episode for the thesis as the patient who had surgery … Carl & Pastor Cathy, Virginia & Desmond mention him in conversation] turns out to be Jake’s long-lost grandfather.

Virginia has a severe heart attack, & Donnie is sent to live with Pastor Cathy.

Disgusted with the blown takeover attempt, Mr (Gary) Wendleton [character sketch coming soon] comes to Manchester to seek revenge on Desmond & takeover the Phoenix permanently. With Virginia’s illness, Desmond’s abilities to protect his team are diminished, opening the door wide open for Wendleton to get what he wants.

Michelle becomes pregnant, but the baby is traumatized when a bomb (set by a “deranged” student) explodes at Manchester University. Carl operates, but is unable to save the child. Michelle feels very sick about what happened & leave Matthew for a while, long enough for Tammy to jump to the “rescue”….
