Last week, I noted some details a certain automotive division would rather you didn’t know (LINK HERE); this week, some details you should, but might not (yet), know about this GMC Motorhome, spotted at the Albuquerque NM Dragway Labor Day Bash 2016 by OC,SHer MICHAEL H:

Produced 1973-1978, this is the only complete motorhome built by a major auto-truck manufacturer, what GMC hoped would be their “halo” vehicle.  The design was radical for the times … low profile, fully-integrated body with front-wheel drive, dubbed the “Unified Powerplant Package”, utilizing the Oldsmobile 455 from the Toronado & the front-wheel-drive transaxle used in the Oldsmobile Toronado & Cadillac Eldorado.
