LAST TIME:
Brief look at the academic paper I wrote for my Honors Thesis.

LAST STORYLINE ENTRY:
Month 3, Week 4, Days 1-5 (next day) synopsis, final portion written while in college & for my Honors Thesis

NOW:
Start of the storyline I wrote post college. With school over, I kept thinking of different plots to pursue (including a major auto collision) & characters to add. So, with Erica’s blessing, I kept writing. Several college classmates wanted updates, too, so every so often, I mailed the updates I’d written. The coming weeks will feature those updates, which I wrote more like a story-summary instead of worrying about timeframes & episode constraints; this 1st entry is from a letter I wrote to Erika the afternoon of Thursday, 06/20/1996.

After seeing Mr. Wendleton’s Email to Michael, Cathy fronts Michael about his part in the takeover attempt of the Manchester Phoenix. Unable to lie to his wife, Michael admits his part, but insists Jake had blackmailed him into helping. Cathy tells Michael to call off the attempt, or she will tell the Rockinghams. A day or 2 later, however, Desmond stumbles across who spearheaded the takeover attempt … Jake. However, somehow, Desmond does not find out about the involvement of Michael & Wendleton. Amy finds out about Jake’s involvement & promptly goes to see Jake, who tells Amy it was all Michael’s idea.

With Steve-Jackie & Carl-Christine separated, Steve & Christine begin to lean on each other for company, though Christine isn’t too thrilled with that idea at 1st since Steve’s daughter Alicia murdered Christine’s daughter Jenna. But, over time, Christine warms up to the idea & eventually agrees to date Steve. Meanwhlie, Jackie decides she wants to give it another try with Steve, but when she discovers Steve is now “with” Christine, Jackie seduces Carl in retaliation. This helps Desmond & Virginia secure custody of Donnie, who becomes better buddies with Adam & Barry.

Matthew & Michelle work through their issues & get married earlier than planned. This depresses Tammy, who then allows Timothy to get close to her. Tammy & Timothy begin to date, even though Tammy dislikes this idea … & Michelle is dismayed by it. Meanwhile, Christine is told Tammy is her sister; those 2 reach an “understanding” via reminiscing & sharing stores of & about their parents.

After discovering Julia & Amy set her up to be fired, Erika seduces Richie again. Erika becomes pregnant & claims Richie is the father. However, Julia learns Erika has also slept with Jake. Julia takes that information to Amy (who never particularly cared for Laura); Amy, then, sets out to “find evidence” to “prove” Jake is the father. This allows Julia & Richie to reunite.
