About this time 20 years ago (1996), “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman” was season premiering for what would be its final season.  Originally airing 09/12/1993 – 06/14/1997 on ABC, the show was developed for television by Deborah Joy LeVine.  The 1st season introduced a relative newcomer to the “Superman” storyline, Cat Grant, a character now seen on CW’s “Supergirl”.  While the series lasted 4 seasons, a 5th season was to be produced, but ABC inexplicably kept changing the show’s timeslot during the 4th season; accordingly, viewership dropped & ABC canceled the show.  The series starred Dean Cain (“Clark-Superman”), Teri Hatcher (“Lois Lane”), Lane Smith (who gave a humorous side to “Perry White”), Michael Landes (“Jimmy Olsen”, Season 1), Justin Whalin (“Jimmy Olsen”, Seasons 2-4), Tracy Scoggins (“Cat Grant”), K Callan (“Martha Kent”), Eddie Jones (“Jonathan Kent”) & John Shea (“Lex Luthor”).  Other guest stars include Justine Bateman, Peter Boyle, Harold Gould, Jasmine Guy, Robert Culp, Bronson Pinchot, Sonny Bono, Shelley Long, Morgan Fairchild, Sherman Hemsley, James Earl Jones, Howie Mandel, Dean Stockwell, Raquel Welch & Adam West.
