Henie won more Olympic & World Titles than any other ladies’ figure skater; the 3-time Olympic champion won gold at the 1928, 1932 & 1936 Winter Olympics. Born in Oslo, Norway, she moved to California in 1936 & was signed by Darryl Zanuck at 20th Century Fox after a successful ice show her father orchestrated in Los Angeles. She starred in 13 movies, including 1937’s ‘Thin Ice’, 1938’s ‘Happy Landing’, 1938’s ‘Lucky Star’, 1939’s ‘Everything Happens At Night’, 1942’s ‘Iceland’ & 1943’s ‘Wintertime’.
