“Coast-to-Coast” Road Trip, 07/11/2011.
5 years ago this very date & day, I traveled from Bloomington MN to Elgin IL. I left cousin & OC,SHer STACY F’s place ~10a & took I-494 to I-94 E. I wasn’t happy about this section of the trip, but I still had some friends to see before I landed at my building home. Shortly after I got into Wisconsin, I passed a Motorhome towing a car. This pair stood out, with the red Cavalier’s TN license plates “I PUSH” & the motor home’s TN license plates “I PULL”. Heading into Illinois, I switched to I-39 S & I-90 E, but a call with friends in Freeport provided me an extra stop. I took State Route 2 to State Route 75 W to US Route 20 W (remember this from earlier in the trip in Oregon!?) & landed in Freeport IL along State Route 26 ~4:15p. I stayed there 3 hours, eating dinner with them. Back on the road ~7:15p, I took US 20 E to I-39 S to State Route 64 E, along which I took this photo:

After over 9,400 miles since I started the road trip ~4p 06/24/2011, I landed where I sleep ~9p, already with plans developing for my 2012 road trip … a journey that never happened because I lost my full-time job February 2012, just months after my 11/11/2011 (4th) open heart surgery.
