07/30-31/2016 EVENT
After work, Thursday, 07/07/2016, I stopped at Beef Villa to pick up the discount coupons; I may post a pic of them soon. Meantime, I received word a recently-renovated hotel (a member of the Elgin Area Chamber Of Commerce) is considering discounts for out-of-town EVENT attendees. IF that develops, I will give further details.

“TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES”
Some of you may’ve noticed yesterday’s wacky schedule. PART of the problem was the website plugin that publicizes to the platforms; the late Wednesday night update created publication havock. While the entries were on the website perfectly, they were not posting to the other platforms. The late Thursday afternoon update fixed THAT; however, Facebook issues continue & compounded the publicizing blackout. Bottom line, if you don’t see posts, check the website. Posts you may’ve missed in the shuffle:
“From The Heart”
…+ photo from 2011 Road Trip Day 14
“Thursday Survey”
…prefer vehicles badged or de-badged!?
“Throwback Thursday”
…1960 Rambler Wagon series ad

In the United States, TODAY is National Collector Car Appreciation Day & National Chocolate With Almonds Day! How will you celebrate?

Friday’s Leadoff Drive: Day 15.
“Coast-to-Coast” Road Trip, 07/08/2016.
5 years ago this very date & day, I traveled from Boise ID to Bozeman MT. Before leaving Boise, I met a fellow ChevyTalk member Bill (“Nuts”) & saw his classic Chevy. I also hung out with the car club’s Western Meet while they prepared to go on their day cruise. I snapped this photo (appropriate for Collector Car Appreciation Day!) as they left:

I left Boise ~10:20a, bound for Twin Falls ID, where my grandfather (the 1 mentioned in this article HERE) had pastored at one time. I arrived in Twin Falls ~12:25p & spent 1 hour & 15 minutes exploring the visitor center, checking out the vistas & stopping to see the church where my grandfather pastored. Leaving Twin Falls, I followed I-84 E to I-86 E & then I-15 N (where I crossed paths with US Route 20 again) to go back to I-90 E, arriving in Bozeman ~8p.
