‘Meet Joe Black’ is a fantasy romance film that hit the theaters 11/13/1998 to mixed reviews by critics. Produced by Universal Studios, the movie was directed by Martin Brest & was loosely based on the 1934 film ‘Death Takes A Holiday’. The cast includes Brad Pitt (as “Joe Black”), Anthony Hopkins (as “Bill Parrish”), Claire Forlani (as “Dr Susan Parrish”), Jake Weber (as “Drew”), Marcia Gay Harden (as “Allison Parrish”), Jeffrey Tambor (as “Quince”), Lois Kelly-Miller (as “Jamaican Woman”), David S Howard (as “Eddie Sloane”), June Squibb (as “Helen”) & Stephen Adly Guirgis (as “Hospital Receptionist”). Pitt & Hopkins previously paired for the 1994 movie ‘Legends Of The Fall’. The country mansion scenes (for William Parrish’s place) were filmed at Aldrich Mansion by the scenic Narragansett Bay, Warwick RI.
