I tend to focus OC,SH on “memory makers”: vintage vehicles, classic music & old stuff in general. But, what about newer music that features classic cars? That thought popped into my head yesterday (Friday) evening in an unusual way…!
For a few days, I’d heard a newer song on the radio; I thought I knew the words to it, but each time I searched, the results brought me to songs clearly not what I wanted. Then, mid-Friday evening, I received an Email from a friend with a link to a song, with the caption: “Even if you don’t like the song, you’ll want to see this video for the 1975 Caprice Classic convertible.” I opened the link & what song was it? The song for which I had been trying to search … DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean”! Before you listen to this video, though, fair warning … this is NOT the radio edit:
Another song that features classic cars … many of them, actually … is Train’s “Drive By”:
An example from the county genre is Carrie Underwood’s “2 Black Cadillacs”:
Oh, the featured car in this post?
