Those are my scars; I took this “selfie” 12/15/2011, after my 11/11/2011 (4th) open heart surgery. While statistics show 1 in 100 babies born have some type of Congenital Heart Defect (CHD), it seems many people do not know about them. What are some causes about which you are passionate (either because you have 1st-hand, personal experience or know a close friend or family member affected) that are not widely or well known?
