Do you remember this series!? What catches your spying-eye radar!?
“Northern Exposure” originally ran on CBS, 07/12/1990 to 07/26/1995. Initially focused on the main character’s “fish out of water” experience between big New York City & small Cicely AL, the series shifted in later seasons to dive into the quirkiness of the Alaskan townsfolk. Brand-Falsey Productions created the series as an 8-episode summer replacement; the show returned spring 1991 with 7 more episodes. CBS put it on the regular schedule for the 1991-1992, 1992-1993 & 1993-1994 seasons, before effectively “demoting” it for 1994-1995. The cast includes Rob Morrow, Barry Corbin, Janine Turner, John Cullum, Cynthia Geary, John Corbett, Darren E Burrows, Peg Phillips, Elaine Miles, Paul Provenza & Teri Polo. Recurring characters were portrayed by Anthony Edwards, Richard Cummings Jr, James L Dunn, William J White, Graham Greene, Diane Delano, Adam Arkin & Valerie Mahaffey. During its run, the show was nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards.
