Synopsis of Month 1, Week 4, Days 3-4 (next day)

At his office at Mercury-Plymouth Field, Desmond stumbles upon evidence his baseball team, the Manchester Phoenix, is the object of a hostile takeover attempt.

When Matthew makes excuses for not talking to Tammy, Tammy re-enforces her need to talk to him by saying he is the only one so far to really extend friendship to her (a lie, of course, because of Tammy’s friendship with Erika). Matthew & Tammy meet at the Boulevard Family Center, where Tammy tells Matthew she moved to Manchester to get away from an abusive relationship &, at the time of their last meeting, she was just upset about that because something reminded her of the abusive boyfriend. Tammy successfully plays on Matthew’s sensitivity. After speaking for over an hour, Matthew glances at his watch & realizes he needs to go see Michelle. Matthew suggests he & Tammy meet again when Michelle has to be at the dinner for college professors. Tammy eagerly agrees.

Carl & Christine begin to wonder why they haven’t seen Jenna in the past day or so. Christine wants to call Steve right away, but Carl reminds her Jenna is a grownup now & doesn’t need them checking up on her all the time. However, Carl is inwardly more concerned than he lets show.

Throughout these 2 broadcast days, Michael & Cathy have minor scenes; likewise for Steve & Jackie. Meanwhile, Alicia is seen “lurking” around Manchester University.

After contemplating her discussion with Erika, Laura finally decides to take action & throw Jake out of their house. Jake is far from pleased.

Upon realizing the evidence of the hostile takeover attempt is credible, Desmond dives into researching the who-what-why, vowing to put a swift end to it.
