In the United States, today is National Puzzle Day & National Corn Chip Day! Perhaps you could celebrate by eating corn chips while solving a puzzle?
“Laurel Richards Kane, RIP”
From the most-recent “Quantum Leap” entry:
Due to a brief illness after a fall at her Tulsa OK home, Route 66 lost another ambassador, 01/28/2016. She owned the Packard Museum at Afton Station OK, was 1 of those instrumental in assisting me as I planned my September 2009 Route 66 road trip, & gave tremendous encouragement when I started my Route 66-based story (of which a chapter posts each week in the theme “Sunday Story”, 6p US central … this Sunday’s chapter will be dedicated to Laurel). The pic on the left side of this image is 1 I took when I visited her during my 2011 “Coast-to-Coast” road trip; the pic on this image’s right side was taken of Laurel & me when I spent an afternoon & evening with her in 2009. While driving from Afton to Tulsa, we had an interesting chat about all sorts of topics, accentuated by music, including these 2 songs: James Taylor’s “Our Town” & Brad Paisley’s “Find Yourself”. Sure wish I could get back to road tripping to see people again.

I took this picture (perfect for puzzle day) while on the 19th floor of Northwestern Memorial Hospital for my cardiology checkup; what catches your spying-eye radar!?
Sorry to hear about Laurel. Sounds like she had an impact on keeping the Route 66 history alive.
As for the picture, is there a white SUV with a rear spoiler on it? On the right side next to the red truck. Talk about unnecessary.
She most-certainly did have quite an impact on Route 66 &, like many other Route 66 ambassadors who’ve died lately, will be sadly missed.
As for the white SUV & the spoiler, I see which vehicle you mean, but I think it is an optical illusion. I think the luggage rack simply doesn’t go to the edge of the rear of the roof, making it look like a spoiler is on it…..
