Synopsis of Month 1, Week 2, Days 4-5 (same day)

Throughout these 2 days, Michael & Cathy are featured in minor, incidental scenes at work & home. Meanwhile, Virginia & Desmond are similarly seen, with Desmond visiting the businesses he owns & Virginia working on various “projects”. Likewise, Laura & Jake are in minor, incidental scenes, with their arguments based on suspicions each have of the other … & somewhat foreshadowing other developments.

Though she is startled by Richie’s confrontation, Julia keeps composure enough to swear to Richie she didn’t know about Jake & Amy’s affair, but would have put it in the paper if she had known. After all, Jake & Amy were Manchester University graduates & sweethearts. Richie, not aware Erika is overhearing his argument with his girlfriend Julia, tells Julia he cannot believe she’d use her powers at the paper to expose the affair. Hearing this argument gives Erika some hope in gaining Richie’s affections….

Tammy arrives at the police station to talk to Steve. Nervous, she makes small talk with him until he tells her she needs to get the point or leave. But, just as Tammy is getting up the nerve to tell him, Matthew rushes into Steve’s office for some facts about an upcoming news story. Seeing Matthew, Tammy gets flustered, panics & quickly excuses herself & leaves.

When Alicia arrives home, Jackie tries to really talk to her about how the meetings are going so far. Alicia brushes Jackie off (or tries to), but Jackie persists & Alicia tells Jackie what she wants to hear, whether or not it is true. Jackie, wanting to believe her daughter, decides not to call Jenna, even though her gut instinct is to find out the “truth”.
