Remember this series!? What catches your spying-eye radar!?

“The Bionic Woman” aired for 3 seasons, 1976-1978, launched as a spinoff of “The 6 Million Dollar Man”. Jaime Sommers (portrayed by Lindsay Wagner) was 1st seen in a 2-part “6 Million” episode, during which she dies in the 2nd half. However, Sommers was so popular, ABC asked writers to bring her back. The series premiered January 1976 &, despite airing only 13 episodes that season, became the 5th most-watched TV show for the entire 1975-6 season, behind “Maude”, “Laverne & Shirley”, “Rich Man, Poor Man” & “All In The Family” & slightly ahead of “The 6 Million Dollar Man”. While on different networks for the 1977-1978 season, both shows were simultaneously canceled spring 1978. Later, 3 made-for-TV movies aired: 1987’s “The Return Of The 6 Million Dollar Man & The Bionic Woman”, 1989’s “Bionic Showdown” & 1994’s “Bionic Ever After?”.
