“Dr Quinn Medicine Woman” (previously mentioned HERE) originally aired on CBS, 01/01/1993 to 05/16/1998. Created by Beth Sullivan, this show starred Jane Seymour in the title role. Dr Quinn left Boston & settled in Colorado Springs CO. The pilot episode, filmed in 1992, aired as a 2-hour special New Year’s Day 1993. A 2nd hour-long episode aired the next night. Originally meant as a made-for-TV movie miniseries, ratings for the 2 airings caused CBS to immediately order a full season of episodes. During its run, it became 1 of a few dramas that allowed fans full access to the filming sets while taping. As such, this show was 1 of the last to achieve sustained viewership success on Saturday nights. Many plots in the show were based on historical facts & events. The main cast also featured Joe Lando, Chad Allen, Erika Flores, Jessica Bowman & Shawn Toovey; supporting cast included Orson Bean, Jim Knobeloch, Frank Collision, William Shockley, Geoffrey Lower, Henry G Sanders, Nick Ramus, Larry Sellers, Jonelle Allen, Elinor Donahue, Barbara Babcock, Georgann Johnson & John Schneider. Numerous guest stars included June Carter Cash, Johnny Cash, Robert Culp, Steven Culp, Jon Cyper, Kristin Davis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Diane Ladd, Barbara Mandrell, Willie Nelson, Tom Poston, Fred Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Travis Tritt, Jane Wyman & Trisha Yearwood.
