Do you agree!?

This is true on several levels! What teachers from your elementary, middle or high school career stand out in your mind? For me, 1 of those is Joyce Pellicore; earlier this week, I learned she died Sunday, 10/25/2015. JP was 1 of those teachers that just lit up any room. When I was at Abbott Middle School (just a few short years ago…), she taught 8th grade US History (Social Studies); Dr. Seisser taught 7th grade World History (Social Studies), an unbeatable 1-2 punch! JP quickly became 1 of my favorite teachers, & not just because she was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was fair, but tough, & her great sense of humor made classes & materials fun. After I left Abbott & moved to Larkin HS, she kept tabs on me through teachers at LHS. Then, after I graduated LHS & went to college, she became 1 of my most-consistent pen pals during those 4 years; I still have the cards & letters she sent me back then. I was honored to visit her home a few times. While we mainly discussed the Cubs, she was also interested in knowing how things were going & was very supportive, just as she had been all those years ago in middle school. I regret we lost touch over the years.
