“Hunter”, based in Los Angeles CA, originally aired 7 seasons, 1984-1991, & is currently on the Heroes & Icons network, 6p-8p US central. It stars Fred Dryer (former National Football Leaguer who, among other accomplishments, is the only player to score 2 safeties in 1 game) as Rick Hunter, Stepfanie Kramer as Dee Dee McCall (1984-1990), Darlanne Fluegel as Joanne Molenski (1990-91), Lauren Lane as Chris Novak (1991), Charles Hallahan (“Grace Under Fire”) as Charlie Devane (1986-1991) & Garrett Morris (“Saturday Night Live”, “The Jeffersons”, “Diff’rent Strokes”, “Hill Street Blues”, “227”, “Martin” & ‘Car Wash’) as Sporty James (1986-89). In the pilot TV movie, Hunter drove a junker blue 1977 Dodge Monaco & a junker 1970 Ford LTD; the department only let him drive junkers because of his tendency to get into wrecks. When the series started, his junker drivers included a 1972 Impala, a 1971 Nova, a 1974 Plymouth Satellite & a 1979 Caprice Classic. He finally settled on a car in the 2nd season, a moss green 1977 Dodge Monaco. Since it became his signature car, when it was destroyed in the midst of the 3rd season, it was replaced with an identical car. During the 7th season, Hunter drove a 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria.
