When the last semester of my senior year started Spring 1996, I realized my schedule was fairly light. So, I asked if I could host radio shows during the week. At 1st, the station manager hesitated, opting (rightly so, of course!) to give others a chance to host shows, since I already broadcast 3 hours, Saturday evenings. But, several afternoon timeslots remained open, & I grabbed 2: Mondays & Fridays, 12p-1p. While I was able to play records & tapes in the studio, since the weekday shows were 1 hour long, I opted to only bring CDs to play; thus, the name of the show. 1996 WEEKDAY “CD Showcase” (1 of the 5 brand new pages!) features what I played each afternoon Spring 1996.
