This song debuted 09/13/1980, spent 18 weeks on the charts & claimed #1. In the midst of her career (mid-late 1970 to mid 1990), this song was her 8th chart topper, with 10 more following. Of ~50 total releases, she also notched 16 more Top 10 tunes. Her sisters are Loretta Lynn & Peggy Sue; she is also a distance cousin of Patty Loveless. She was born in Painstville KY, but raised in Wabash IN, about a half hour from where I went to college. She is also known for her trademark ankle-length hair.

This song hit the airwaves 10/12/1996, spent 20 weeks on the charts & peaked at #4 in early 1997. His career, which continues today, got a huge jumpstart with his 4th release. After his 3rd release became his 1st Top 10, his 4th release, 1994’s “Don’t Take The Girl”, claimed #1 for 2 straight weeks, putting him on the map permanently. The son of former MLB pitcher Tug McGraw, Tim married Faith Hill 10/06/1996 & has acted in several movies, including ‘Friday Night Lights’.
