Day 13, 09/17/2009, of my Route 66 road trip started in Rialto-San Bernardino CA & ended in Albuquerque NM. Yep, the 3-day return trip had begun. Ugh. The day started ~4a when my cousin left to go back to the LA area for work. After sleeping ~2 more hours, I snapped a bunch of sunrise pics at the WigWam Motel & also some of the room interior. I left ~7:45a, heading back to Illinois on the superslab: I-215 to I-15 N to I-40 E. Regrettably, I did not take many pictures on the way back east today, including none during my lunch hour (~12:10p-1:05p) in Kingman AZ with friend & OC,SHer JIM H. After that lunch, I had a neat view of Seligman AZ from I-40, but was unable to get a good picture. I arrived in Holbrook AZ ~4:25p for a quick stop for gas & a “to go” cup of sweet tea. I took the featured picture west of Albuquerque NM ~6:45p. I arrived in Albuquerque NM ~9p.
