THEME = recreation: featuring Sheryl Crow & Shenandoah
2 songs from the 10p-11p timeframe of my 04/06/2007 radio show….
#1
Written by Sheryl Crow & John Shanks specifically for the 2006 Disney Pixar film ‘Cars’ (featuring Route 66), this song is the 2nd single released from the movie’s soundtrack. While it did not register on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it claimed #1 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 & reached #76 on the Pop 100 charts.
#2
This song debuted 10/01/1988, spent 21 weeks on the charts & peaked at #5, the band’s 1st Top 5 tune & 2nd Top 10 hit after 1988’s “She Doesn’t Cry Anymore” (#9). Formed in Muscle Shoals AL, this band enjoyed a 8-year+ career. Between mid-late 1987 & early 1996, the group released 25 songs, notching 5 chart toppers & 10 additional Top 10 hits.
