For the Seminole TX-native Tucker, this came in the midst of a run of 4 straight Top 10 songs. While this is a relatively new tune, I rarely hear it on the radio anymore. This poignant song hit the airwaves 01/26/2002, spent 20 weeks on the charts & peaked at #22 on the country charts; it crossed over, but barely registered, notching at #113 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite that, it won the Vocal Collaboration Grammy & the Vocal Event CMA awards. I remember hearing it on the radio 07/04/2011, near Sacramento CA, as I traveled just north of there to spend the night during my Coast-to-Coast Road Trip. For the Abbott TX-native Nelson, this song came at the end of a colorful career which featured 20 chart toppers, including several duets. A notable singer, he also wrote, played the guitar & acted; his career started in the Air Force & then he was a DJ in Fort Worth TX & Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. For the Jacksonville TX-native Womack, it came in the midst of her career, which spanned early 1997 to early 2010. With 1 chart topper in 2000’s “I Hope You Dance” (5 weeks), she also had 6 other Top 10 tunes.
